Wild Bird Appliqué & Alaska Wildflower Art
Wild Bird Appliqué
These Wild Bird Appliqué patterns were designed with the intent that when someone buys one or more, they can take it as a suggestion and create a project that is entirely their own. There are ideas for finishing bird applique projects in the Etsy Albums as each pattern is just the bird.

Alaska Wildflower Stickers
Alaska Wildflowers are some of the most beautiful plants found on the planet. Painting them is exciting and challenging. My niece Elizabeth, who owns Wild Spruce Artworks, challenged me to paint a few different flowers that could be stickers. I am excited that they are now available at Wild Spruce Artworks, click the link below.
Raven Calendar
The Taku Graphics/Wild Spruce Artworks annual raven calendar has been a thing for a while and I have been involved with it for the last several years. Each year the calendar includes 12 different raven images by various Alaska artists. Since 2022 I have been flattered to have my fiber art raven included.

About Me
I have been interested in nature and quilting for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Alaska where my family had a passion for exploring outside as much as possible. My mother learned to quilt when I was fairly young and included me in that process. Fine art and crafting have also been an important part of my life.
Some years ago an applique group formed at my local quilt store and they wanted to make a bird quilt. I was excited to come up with various fusible applique designs of local birds and my friends made amazing quilts with my creations. They all encouraged me to make the patterns available to sell. As a result, I created SaLeaf Designs on Etsy in 2018. My nephew came up with the name - my first name shortened and attached to leaf because leaves are a favorite of mine and his.
The SaLeaf Designs flock continues to grow as others discover my shop and ask for birds. It makes my artist heart sing to receive a request for a bird design that someone finds interesting or is a favorite. This incredible journey has been flattering and challenging and I appreciate everyone’s encouragement and support.
And now the collection continues to grow with Alaska Wildflower watercolor paintings, another one of my passions.
My day is complete if I have had the chance to be creative and that is my wish for you as well, by either helping you make a bird project or sharing some natural beauty.
Enjoy!
